Recently, the Integrated Clean Energy R&D and Production Center Project of CAS Hefei Gasification Technology Co., Ltd.(hereinafter referred to as ZHGAS) has been officially approved by the Management Committee of Anhui Chaohu Economic Development Zone, with the project investment cooperation agreement now signed. This project represents a critical initiative for ZHGAS to advance scientific innovation, expand industrial capacity, and strengthen its real economy operations. It holds significant strategic importance for optimizing the company’s industrial layout and enhancing core competitiveness.
The Integrated Clean Energy R&D and Production Center will occupy 66.56 mu (approximately 4.44 hectares) of land. The planned construction includes an industrial park comprising R&D centers, production workshops, experimental workshops, control rooms, office facilities, and auxiliary buildings, with a total floor area of 59,700 square meters. The project requires a total investment of over 300 million yuan and is expected to be completed within 18 months. Upon completion, the center will serve as a comprehensive R&D and production base integrating gasification technology, solid/hazardous waste treatment environmental technology, and capabilities for cutting-edge research, key technology validation, patented equipment production, technical training, and online user maintenance.

The center is scheduled for operation in 2021. Together with ZHGAS’s North China Production Base, it will form a nationwide production network. Leveraging geographic advantages, ZHGAS will achieve centralized large-scale production to enhance efficiency, product quality, and cost-effectiveness while improving regional service capabilities, shortening delivery cycles, and expanding market influence in clean energy and environmental sectors.

In March, the North China Production Base resumed operations, and equipment components for Jiangsu and Shanxi projects began shipment, providing hardware support for advancing key projects.
The establishment of the Integrated R&D and Production Center marks a pivotal step in ZHGAS’s industrial upgrade. With this major investment, ZHGAS will enter a new development phase centered on gasification and solid/hazardous waste treatment technologies. Post-completion, the center will:
l Deepen integration of R&D and manufacturing to optimize resource utilization and accelerate core technology commercialization.
l Extend industrial chains, foster upstream-downstream synergy, and achieve full-industry-chain competitiveness.
l Strengthen foundational R&D capabilities, stabilize supply chain hubs, and enhance sustainable growth momentum.
