01. First Batch of Gasifiers Complete Full Lifecycle Validation
This year, ZHGAS’s first batch of oxygen-enriched/air-blown circulating fluidized bed gasifiers passed full lifecycle validation. To date:
The Xiamen Xiangsheng (Indonesia) CGAS Coal Gasification Project achieved 295 consecutive days of stable single-furnace operation.
The Xinjiang Yihua and Guizhou Hongsheng Oxygen-Enriched Gasification Projects maintained year-round safe and stable operation.
02. Multiple Fixed-Bed Energy-Saving Retrofit Projects Operational
Amid China’s “Dual Carbon” goals, ZHGAS developed fixed-bed indirect cooling dust removal and ammonia stripping retrofit technologies. Over 100 fixed-bed retrofits have been completed for clients including Jinneng Group, Lanhua Group, Heyou Chemical, and Blue Sail Chemical, purifying 19 million Nm3/day of syngas. The retrofitted Shanxi Jinneng Tianyuan Chemical was recognized as the only “Grade B Environmental Protection Enterprise in Jincheng City”. The Shanxi Jinfeng Fixed-Bed Gasification Retrofit received acclaim during the 2021 Nitrogen Fertilizer & Methanol Conference.
03. First Residual Carbon Combustion Project Completes Main Equipment Installation
ZHGAS expanded into carbon-based solid waste treatment by partnering with Shangu Power’s Engineering Division on a gasification fly ash residual carbon combustion project for Henan Linzhou Fengbao Pipe Industry. Main equipment installation is complete, with hydrostatic testing scheduled post-New Year. Once operational, it will pioneer resource recovery for gasification fly ash and carbon-based waste.
04. Qixian Sludge Carbonization Project Achieves Mechanical Completion
In late December, ZHGAS’s Henan Qixian Sludge Carbonization Project reached mechanical completion, entering commissioning. This landmark sludge treatment project, supported by local governments, was inspected by Henan Provincial Department of Finance and Commerce officials in mid-December.
05. Integrated R&D-Production Center Enters Trial Phase
ZHGAS’s Clean Energy R&D-Production Center has completed initial construction, with trial production starting post-Lunar New Year. This facility will integrate R&D and manufacturing, accelerating advancements in gasification and solid/hazardous waste treatment technologies.
06. CGAS Team Wins CAS Outstanding Achievement Award
In January, the IET Circulating Fluidized Bed Technology Research Team, including ZHGAS General Manager Yu Kuangshi and Deputy General Manager Meng Guangjun, received the 2020 CAS Outstanding Science and Technology Achievement Award.
07. CGAS Technology Showcased at China (Anhui) Sci-Tech Fair
In May, the CGAS Technology Development and Industrialization Project was highlighted as one of CAS’s Top 5 Innovations at the 2021 China (Anhui) Innovation & Transformation Fair, drawing significant attention to ZHGAS.

In May, Xinhua’s article “Coal-to-Syngas, Waste-to-Fuel…Have You Seen These Carbon-Reduction Tech Marvels?” garnered over 1 million views, spotlighting ZHGAS’s coal utilization innovations.
