On January 24, the Anhui Chaohu Economic Development Zone held its 2021 Annual Summary and Awards Ceremony, where CAS Hefei Gasification Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as ZHGAS) was honored with the “2021 Annual Award for Scientific and Technological Innovation Contribution” , reaffirming its leadership in technological prowess and innovation.
As a National High-Tech Enterprise jointly established by the Institute of Engineering Thermophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and the Anhui Chaohu Economic Development Zone Administrative Committee, ZHGAS serves as the industrialization platform for the Hongguang Initiative Project “Industrialization of Circulating Fluidized Bed Coal Gasification (CGAS) Technology”. It acts as a pivotal bridge for translating scientific research into practical applications.
Since its inception, ZHGAS has consistently aligned R&D with industrial needs, addressing real-world production challenges through technology integration, system optimization, engineering development, and market-driven deployment. As a key technology transfer entity within the zone, ZHGAS has received ongoing support and accolades, including:

To date, ZHGAS has accelerated the industrialization of CGAS technology in coal-based syngas and clean coal gas production, achieving product-level adoption across alumina, magnesium metal, foundry, and coal chemical industries. Concurrently, ZHGAS has expanded into environmental protection, advancing technologies for solid/hazardous waste treatment and resource recovery, with operational projects in:
Fixed-bed retrofits
Carbon-based solid waste utilization
Sludge harmless disposal
