As surging rivers pause before forging ahead, we ascend new peaks to broader vistas. With 2022 drawing to a close and 2023 unfolding before us, let us turn the pages of the ZHGAS calendar and revisit this year’s defining moments.
1. Successful Operation of Dongfang Hope CGAS Gasifier Project
In February, ZHGAS secured the EPC contract for the CGAS gasifier project at Dongfang Hope (Sanmenxia) Aluminum Co., Ltd. On December 27 at 10:00 AM, the No. 3 gasifier ignited successfully, marking the start of trial operations.
2. Xinjiang Yihua Gasification Project Featured on Xinjiang News
In February, the Xinjiang Yihua coal gasification project was spotlighted on Xinjiang News as a model initiative under the region’s strategic resource transformation plan.
3. Xinjiang Qiya Atmospheric CGAS Gasifier Retrofit Project Commissioned
In May, the upgraded atmospheric CGAS gasifier at Xinjiang Qiya entered operation. Post-retrofit, the gasifier’s capacity and system efficiency surged significantly, enabling cost-effective utilization of Zhundong high-alkali coal.
4. First Residual Carbon Combustion Project Launched
ZHGAS’s inaugural residual carbon treatment project—Linzhou Fengbao Gasification Fine Slag Incineration—commenced operations. It harnesses residual carbon heat to produce high-temperature steam, advancing cascaded coal utilization and pioneering resource recovery for carbon-based solid waste.
5. Qixian Sludge Carbonization Project Operational
In mid-April, Henan’s Qixian Sludge Carbonization Project achieved successful startup. By late April, it reached full-capacity operation, with Qixian County Party Secretary Yang Jianqiang leading an inspection tour.
6. Zigui Sludge Operation Project Contract Signed
ZHGAS signed an entrusted operation contract with Three Gorges Rixin Water (Zigui) Co., Ltd. for sludge carbonization at Zigui Wastewater Treatment Plant, covering maintenance and operations of sludge treatment facilities.
7. Guiyang Medical Waste Disposal Center Expansion Completed
In October, the expansion project of Guiyang Medical Waste Disposal Center concluded,The project team was awarded an Honor Certificate in recognition of their exemplary work during project execution.
8. Hefei Headquarters 10,000m2 Production Base Operational
In May, ZHGAS’s Hefei production base launched, manufacturing patented/non-standard equipment for CFB gasification and solid/hazardous waste treatment technologies.
9. Qualification Milestones Achieved
This year, ZHGAS obtained:
1) Class B Design Qualification for Environmental Engineering (Solid Waste Treatment & Disposal);
2) Upgraded EPC Qualification for Mechanical & Electrical Engineering and Environmental Engineering Specialty Contracting to Class II.
These accreditations solidify its market expansion in environmental sectors.
10. Partnerships Signed with Rongxin Group & Institute of Engineering Thermophysics
In August, ZHGAS inked agreements with Shandong Rongxin Group and the CAS Institute of Engineering Thermophysics at Shandong’s 2022 "Unveiling & Commanding" Key Tech Project Signing. Collaborations span clean coal utilization and renewable energy R&D.
11.Atmospheric pressure Oxygen-Enriched circulating fluidized bed gasifier Technology Certified
In September, the "Atmospheric Pressure Oxygen-Enriched CFB High-Alkali Coal Gasification for Syngas" technology—jointly developed by CAS Institute of Engineering Thermophysics, Xinjiang Yihua Chemical, and ZHGAS—was certified by the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation. The committee recognized it as internationally advanced overall and leading in high-alkali coal gasification, pivotal for Xinjiang’s coal-driven economy.
12. CGAS Technology Included in National Eco-Platform
In October, ZHGAS’s CGAS-CFB Coal Gasification Technology was listed on China’s National Eco-Environmental Technology Achievement Platform.
13. Selected for Anhui’s "Five One Hundred" Advanced Technologies
In December, Anhui’s Department of Economy and Information listed ZHGAS’s CFB Gasifier Coupled with Residual Carbon Treatment among its 2021 "Five One Hundred" Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Technologies.
